Dear Colleagues and Friends of the CMA,
My term as president comes to a close, and a new president will take over. Two years have passed quickly, and it has been a whirlwind as we responded to the ever-evolving ideas and spiritual threats within our culture.
The three initiatives we had two years ago were to support individual members, develop national strategic partnerships, and strengthen international relations. Upon reflection, I am astounded at the things we accomplished in all three areas. I have repeatedly seen the Holy Spirit at work to guide us as an organization.

But now it is time for new leadership and I am confident that our Incoming President Dr. Michelle Stanford will lead us in the direction we need to go. The Board of Directors stands ready to serve you at the intersection of faith and reason to live and promote the principles of the Catholic Faith in the science and practice of medicine. We are in good hands.
I wish to thank our Episcopal Advisor Bishop James Conley and National Chaplain Fr. Christopher Kubat for their spiritual guidance and direction. Their prayers and words of wisdom have been invaluable. Our Executive Director Mario Dickerson and his staff at the national office are the gears and levers that make things happen. Without them, we would not move. I am grateful for all they have done.
Finally, it has been a privilege to serve you, our members, as your president. It has been amazing and a joy to see what so many of you do in your everyday lives and practices. Know that all of you will continue to be in my prayers.
Felicem Natalem Christi! Gloria in Excelsis Deo!
Merry Christmas!
