One of the known quotes from Shakespeare was the one that says, “By medicine life may be prolonged. Yet death may seize the doctor too”. This is the core of the pre-lenten conference which will be held on February 10, 2024 in Cebu City, Philippines to be participated in by hundreds of delegates which is a mixture of pro-life para-medical professionals and lay leaders. The event carries the theme, “The Realities of Death” which will tackle both the medical, scientific and theological fronts of human death.         
Four invited speakers, including a neurologist, a cardiologist, a priest and a lay person who had a “near-death-experience” are expected to provide the inputs.The Human Life International, the Catholic Physicians Guild of the Philippines or CPGP with the blessings of the FIAMC are the primary organizers of this very timely conference before we will begin the Lenten Season this coming February 14, 2024 wherein every baptised Catholic Christian is reminded that “for dust you are and to dust to will return” (Gen. 3.19b)
