As baptized Catholic Christians, we need to give due honor to the Mother of God especially during the month of May. So to better understand Her role in the salvation of mankind, we are organizing the conference on May 18, 2024 carrying the theme, “Mary & Her Sacramentals“.

We expect over a hundred delegates, mostly lay leaders from the Archdiocese of Cebu and from other neighboring dioceses, to take part in this event.   Expected to be discussed by the three speakers are the three different sacramentals which Our Lady instituted for the physical and spiritual protection of us Her beloved children. These are the Holy Rosary which She gave to St. Domingo de Guzman to be promoted in the year 1214, the Brown Scapular given to St. Simon Stock in 1251 and the Miraculous Medal entrusted to St. Catherine Laboure in 1830.

Again, this Marian event which the only one of its kind to be held in the Philippines is a concept from Human Life International with the inspirations from the World Federation of Catholic Medical Associations or FIAMC in its efforts to galvanize the faith among its members especially in Asia and the support of the National Council of the Laity of the Philippines.
