The Australian Catholic Medical Association will be holding its National Conference and White Mass in Sydney from November 10th to 12th, 2023.
This will be the first national event since the state guilds formed a national association in 2018 with the approval and blessing of the Australian Catholic Bishops Conference.
The theme of conference is:
‘That They May Have Life’ – Jn 10:10.
A range of excellent speakers will discuss various topics including;
- Conscientious Objection in Healthcare,
- Australian Euthanasia laws and the Duty of Care,
- Transgendering the Young,
- the Spiritual Life of the Catholic Health Care Professional and
- an Introduction to challenges of Transhumanism.
Professor of Law Joanna Howe is the keynote speaker and will discuss the Prolife Case, Now and in the Future.
The White Mass and Blessing of the Hands ceremony will be led by local Bishop Richard Umbers and visiting Archbishop Julian Porteus, from Hobart in Tasmania.
