Analise D Mello MBBS, MS obgyn, DNB

A new month has begun and like always I swipe out my planner and start scheduling my to do list and habit trackers. The one habit that has been lagging most is prayer.

I have been trying to schedule it in but Iam either busy with rushing to work or doing work related stuff or managing home stuff . While I have only one person to look after that is myself… I should be having more time and discipline for the same. But like a lazy human I avoid it.

Todays reading made me realise how I can’t pour into my cup when I am empty with no time for the Creator in my schedule. So this month I want to take an extra 10minutes to pray and focus on the scripture.. seek some alone time to meditate and delve into my life and how I have been leading it.

Maybe we all should get new wineskins over our hearts and focus on resetting our prayer lives with more time and reflection and emulating it as catholics in our daily lives.

AMEN
