National Catholic Health Care Week: February 2-8, 2025

From February 2-8, 2025, we are called to celebrate National Catholic Health Care Week in Canada. This week is a time to recognize the profound role faith plays in the lives and work of Catholic healthcare professionals and to pray for their efforts to provide care and healing in our communities.

This year’s theme, “Caring for Our Common Home,” invites us to reflect on the interconnectedness of all creation. It emphasizes how our health, social, and economic systems—and our personal and collective choices—impact both human health and the health of the planet. Inspired by Pope Francis’ encyclical Laudato Si, the theme challenges us to care for the earth as our shared home, and to work towards a world where all can thrive in harmony with creation.

As part of this national initiative, the Catholic Health Alliance of Canada has developed a variety of resources to help individuals, groups, and parishes mark this important week. These include daily reflections, prayers of the faithful, and materials to engage in deeper conversations about environmental stewardship and its connection to human health.

Don’t Miss the Webinar!

This year, the Catholic Health Alliance of Canada will host a webinar on Thursday, February 6, from 1:00–2:30 p.m. ET. The webinar will feature inspirational stories and practical information related to the week’s theme. We encourage everyone to participate in this enriching event.
