Philadelphia, PA – January 21, 2022—Members of Catholic Medical Association joined thousands of pro-life supporters in Washington D.C. today for the 49th annual March for Life.
“Through the science and practice of medicine, what our Catholic Faith has always informed us should be evident to all, and that is that life begins at the moment of conception,” said CMA President, Dr. Craig Treptow.“
CMA will always advocate to defend the sanctity of life at all stages and we are proud to be here today,” added Dr. Treptow.
This year’s March for Life comes just weeks after CMA rallied outsideof the United States Supreme Court as Oral Arguments in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health began.
We are back today with the same intention, to send the message that not only is abortion deeply flawed morally, it is not consistent with good medical care.
CMA members continue to pray in support of the cause of life and are deeply grateful to all those who turned out to march again this year.
The theme of this year’s March for Life is “Equality Begins in the Womb.” We echo this sentiment and believe in the right to life.CMA looks forward to the continued progress being made to protect the health and dignity of women and unborn children.
