Dear Members,
Many thanks to Dr. & Mrs. Peter Morrow, and their entire Committee, who made our 83rd Annual Educational Conference in Orlando, FL so successful! The beautiful Portofino Bay Hotel made an ideal location! The educational talks from world renowned speakers, in addition to prayer and the availability of the sacraments will continue to be a source of strength as attendees return home to courageously practice medicine. In case you were not able to join us, here are just a few of the highlights from the Conference:
- Over 610 attendees (our largest attendance yet)
- For over 200 attendees, it was their first CMA Conference
- Over 40 clergy and religious in attendance
- 70 Medical Students and Residents were in attendance, 50 of them received scholarships to attend
- Kicked off “Holy Alliance” program to partner priests with physicians
- Vatican Cardinal Burke delivered an inspirational keynote to two standing ovations!
- Congratulations to Dr. Jerome Lejeune Guild, which was honored as the Outstanding Guild.
- The CMA approved its 90th guild, the St. Giuseppe Moscati D.C. Catholic Medical Guild
- Kicked off “Just One More” campaign for every member to recruit one new member this year.
- …and who can forget dinner with the sharks swimming around you at SeaWorld!
